COoperative loGISTICS for sustainable mobility of goods

CO-GISTICS is a project composed of a consortium of 33 of local authorities, logistics and freight organisations, large private companies and SMEs working towards the deployment of cooperative ITS services for logistics . CO-GISTICS is the first European project fully dedicated to the deployment of cooperative intelligent transport systems (C-ITS) focused on logistics .

OBJECTIVES

CO-GISTICS services have been deployed in 7 European logistics hubs; Arad (Romania), Bordeaux (France), Bilbao (Spain), Frankfurt (Germany), Thessaloniki (Greece), Trieste (Italy) and Vigo (Spain).

CO-GISTICS’ partners worked together for three years on the installation and running of cooperative services on at least 315 vehicles (trucks and vans).

CO-GISTICS has deployed 5 services:

  • Intelligent Truck Parking and Delivery Areas Management ;
  • Cargo Transport Optimisation;
  • CO2 Footprint Monitoring and Estimation;
  • Priority and Speed Advice;
  • Eco-Drive Support.
ICOOR ROLE AND MEMBERS

ICOOR is responsible for the Fernetti pilot site. The task consists of DSS design and implementation.

In particular, ICOOR has been in charge of adapting the DSS algorithms to cope with the user requirements and use cases. And to Implement interfaces with the other existing systems of the pilot according to the defined specifications and requirements.
